Then he proceeded to get more agitated and and at that point I just wanted to leave. I had apologized and said I wouldn't shoot that ammo anymore and would shoot slug. It was all because she was missing the target! What!? Then he proceeded to scold me about shooting my shotgun, when I didn't know I couldn't shoot birdshot. The range officer proceeded to critique her, and got mad at her, even though she was a first time shooter. Another time I was shooting with my mother, and teaching her. Thankfully I was answered by another very helpful employee.

One of the staff ( an old bald man) looked at me like I was stupid even though he doesnt know anything about guns anyways. One time I brought an AR, and wanted to ask a question about it. It's a shame because years ago I was with a family member who bought his first rifle here. Sleazy, disrespectful is what I'm gonna have to use to describe this range. In the end we will not be going back simply due to the fact they treated me like I had half a brain and drool coming out of the side of my mouth. You want to charge $300 after tax for a gun that has rusted out pins and the mag looks like garbage. Also it was a rust bucket which the worker claims was a range gun so it never got cleaned or taken care of. At that point I was no longer interested in buying the piece.

Even my husband was mad at how I was treated when he esentially held the gun the exact same way I did. Treating a woman like an idiot when it comes to firearms is so frustrating. I understand proper gun saftey but I maybe had the barrel pointing at a customers foot across the store for 3 seconds if that. Keep in mind my husband just had the entire thing apart not 5 seconds prior. He was acting like I had a loaded piece aimed at someones head. Went to flip it to look at the grip and the worker started freaking out telling me not to point it at other customers. I started to move the pistol around in my hand making sure to always keep the barrel towards the ground. The second I picked the pistol up the worker helping us got extremely nervous. We asked to see a pistol and my husband held it, moved it all around, took it completely apart to inspect it, racked the slide, etc. I went in with my husband to see what they had in stock of a particular manufacturer. Honestly am becoming more and more annoyed with point blank as a whole. If youre inexperienced take the time to learn a few things before you write a review.

I read some of the neg reviews - most from inexperienced shooters. Maybe a little high on some things but the staff and advice make it worth it. Went with my 89 y/o ex Marine Dad and they could not have been more helpful. Really happy about the friendliness, help, and patience they extend to my Dad. He might be shaky getting to the line, but he can still shootUPDATED 11/10/18 - Another visit. And I'm especially moved by the respect and patience they show my 90 y/o dad. Since there were 2 of us, they added a few more rounds so we could both do it.Safety Officers are on top of everything. Wanted to try a pistol, which they readily allow with a 5 shot test.
